| dc.description.abstract | Objetivo: se busca poner de manifiesto las tensiones que surgen en una institución pública de salud de San Miguel de Tucumán, Argentina en relación con la atención y el tratamiento de la diabetes tipo 1. Método:las reflexiones del presente trabajo muestran las conclusiones alcanzadas a partir de un enfoque cualitativo, de abordaje etnográfico en el Ciclo de Talleres de Nutrición llevados a cabo en el Hospital del Niño Jesús de San Miguel Tucumán, Argentina durante el 2016. Los talleres mencionados estaban destinados a pacientes diabéticos -niñas, niños y adolescentes-y a sus padres y madres. La información fue obtenida a través de la observación participante, de entrevistas en profundidad realizadas a pacientes, padres, madres y personal del equipo de salud y del análisis de las producciones escritas realizadas en los talleres. Resultados: se observa que existen representaciones e intereses diferentes entre los grupos de personas involucrados, lo que se traduce en dificultades en la comunicación. Se advierte una concepción adulto céntrica de la infancia que no atiende al presente de las y los pacientes y que les trata más como “objetos” de atención que como “sujetos”; esto ocurre en el marco de una cultura institucional que no apoya a su personal en el desarrollo de experiencias de atención alternativas como el dispositivo de talleres. Conclusiones: se plantea la necesidad de resignificar los modos de entender la salud, la enfermedad y la infancia en el contexto de una enfermedad crónica para ayudar en la adherencia al tratamiento. Objective: It seeks to highlight the tensions that arise in a public health institution of San Miguel de Tucumán, Argentina in relation to the care and treatment of type 1 diabetes. Method: The reflections of this work present the conclusions to which it is up froma qualitative approach, of ethnographic approximation in the cycle of workshops of nutrition carried out in the Hospital of the child Jesus of San Miguel Tucumán, Argentina during 2016. The reflections of this work represent the conclusions to which it isup from the analysis of the ethnographic material obtained from the participant observation of the cycle of nutrition workshops carried out in the Hospital of the child Jesus of San Miguel Tucumán, Argentina during the 2016. They were aimed for diabetic patients-girls, boys and adolescents-and their parents. The information was obtained through the participant observation, in-depth interviews with patients, parents and members of the health team and the analysis of the written productions made in the workshops. Results: It is observed that there are different representations and interests among the actors involved which translate into difficulties in the communication; there is a adultcentric conception of childhood that does not attend to the present of patients and treats them more as "objects" of care than as "subjects", this hapens within the framework of an institutional culture that does not support its staff in the development of alternative care experiences such as the workshop device. Conclusions: the need to resignify the ways of understanding health, disease and childhood in the context of a chronic disease to help in adherence to treatment is noted. | es_CR |
