Inglés: Telecommuting has taken the lead as the work modality in the University of Costa Rica after the COVID-19’s health alert. For instance, Information and Communication Technologies (ICT’s) have been used and telecommuting was established as voluntary and reversible for both, the employee, and the employing institution. Upon the sudden change caused by the pandemic, workers have been part of an adaptation process with relevant factors for their health’s quality since those are dynamic phenomena in which integration processes are made between the individual and the environment. Care is the object of study of the nursing discipline, therefore, knowing the coping and adaptation capacity from Roy’s Model and her Coping and Adaptation Processing Scale (CAPS) applied to the telecommuting stimuli has great value in showing the impact that it has had in the worker’s overall health. Objective: Determine the coping and adaptation capacity to telecommuting from Callista Roy’s Model in the teaching and administrative staff of the University of Costa Rica’s Business Administration School. Methodology: Graduation seminar modality, with a quantitative, descriptive, and cross-sectional research approach and design. Census study carried out on 134 workers from the Business Administration School. The data was processed and analyzed in 89 people who completed the entire instrument. This is evaluated and categorized into a total of four grades: low, medium, high, and very high coping and adaptation capacity. Results: the participants are 65% men and 24% women with an average of 51.7 years. On the Roy Processing Scale, an average of 128 points was obtained, classified by Gutierrez and Lopez Mesa in the degree of high capacity for the coping and adaptation process, evidencing the existence of positive elements. On the other hand, the results for the five factors that make up the scale prevailed in the category of high-capacity level, belonging to these scores...
